The TMR is a constant of administration technique of reaction of the animals used in farms. The ration consists of long fodder (Chopped into particles of 3-5 cm), concentrated, products and all other foods included in the animal's diet. Such foods are mixed so that it can not allow the animal what to choose; this allows a high energy concentration that takes full advantage of the interactions between the feed given at the same time but with different characteristics.
In the traditional method, the daily ration is or is put to disposition of the two or three times per day and is administered by a method of preparation that separates the individual components of the ration (fodder, by-products, concentrates, etc.) into a number of equal rations the number of components. This method causes many drawbacks, including: inconstant ruminal activity, low yields of digestion, steps of deficiency / alimentary excesses, immunosuppression, negative effects on the rumen, alterations of the digestive activities in general and overconsumption of certain foods by the bovine with rejection of others.
The advantages are therefore multiple:
greater ingestion of food;
improved efficiency of the use efficiency of calories;
lower incidence of rumen diseases, breast (only in mammals) and intestines.
All these advantages, of course, are obtained with a constant attention to the state of conservation of raw materials.
